ABOUT US


Bonus plug-in-systems was born from a longstanding electrical wholesale business that has been trading for over 50 years. Having identified the need for specialising in just-in-time supply, Bonus Plug-in Systems has been supplying the static holiday home, touring caravan, motor home, park home & National House Build markets for over 30 years.

Bonus Plug-in Systems, an ISO 9001 accredited company, have become an integral part of each customer, acting as an extension of their business rather than just a supplier, delivering the length & breadth of the UK offering a one stop solution for all things electrical including supply and fit.

From cable and wiring accessories, to decorative lighting and kitchen appliances, we offer the whole package including wiring harnessing (plug & play).

Due to the business being essentially customer driven, we consider ourselves to be an extension of our customers’ production line.

Our goal is to build lasting partnerships and mould our business to meet changes in our customer demands. Flexibility and understanding of the mechanics of each individual customers supply, design, production & build methods and after care expectations, tailoring our own methods to suit the customer.

We employ a multi skilled assembly line work force of over thirty people, in a facility in excess of 50,000 square foot, with a support office to control specification, procurement, design, quality, technical and aftersales requirements of the business. Our daily interaction with major stakeholders within the industry ensures we are attuned to the bespoke drivers such as changing technical, design based and environmental factors. Having an onsite production facility including a lighting department equips us with a service not available anywhere else in the UK.

Our well established global supply chain of suppliers is constantly updated, as we visit numerous key trade shows around the world, looking for new innovations and manufacturing methods in conjunction with our supply base.

As a preferred supplier to many of the UK’s leading holiday home and caravan manufacturers of electrical kits, we understand the importance of customer confidentiality, and support the customer during design, production through to aftersales and warranty support to the end user.

KITTING


Overhead Savings

Kitting reduces overheads by significantly reducing the number of suppliers and the associated costs of managing the supply chain. Cost reduction of warehousing, component part preparation and handling costs, by supplying re-assembled components kitted for each van direct to line at each required stage of build, to a Just in time schedule.

Resource Savings

Reduction of direct labour costs covering administration and transactional support staff, logistics and production staff utilised in pre-assembly and kit build on site and installation of individual components. This reduction, may allow for personnel to focus on different areas and/or TUPE of any employees affected by outsourcing electrical kitting.

Facility & Operational Improvement

Floor space savings in manufacturing plant and warehouse areas. Improved customer service levels internally and externally, through benefit of outsourcing electrical kit requirements to experts in this field, strengthening technical, design, after sales and customer service support.

Environmental Impact

Reduced use of packaging materials as component packaging is stripped during component preparation at Bonus, the option of using reusable containers eliminate’ s packaging waste further, reduction to carbon footprint due to locality of Bonus Plug in Systems and a reduction in supply base delivering individual components, potentially from Suppliers spread nationwide.

HOUSE BUILDERS


Bonus Plug in Systems kitting is not solely focused at first and second fix components. The company’s NDC supplies a range of custom and standard components typically utilised in kit component top level BoM assembly. These include enclosures, consumer units, lighting, cabling and domestic appliances, all of which can yield further direct and indirect cost saving opportunities. Product innovation through strong relationship with our Supply base ensures our Customer base are at the forefront of design and technical innovations.
